The NEWhere Too concom is delighted to announce our 2021 Song Contest!
This year, once again the winner will be determined by popular vote. We will be collecting submissions to the song contest before the con, and voting will take place Friday (June 18) and Saturday (June 19) during the con. The winner will be announced at the Closing Ceremonies.
The theme for this year’s contest is: “Keep Circling!”
Rules for Contestants:

- The deadline for submitting entries to the song contest is Friday June 18, 2021, 5:00 PM Eastern time. Entries may be submitted beginning now.
- Submissions should be sent to nefilk.tech@gmail.com. Each submission must include a lyrics sheet and may be accompanied by a link to a video or audio recording (or by an attached recording if the contestant has no way to host it elsewhere). If a recording is included, it does not need to be performed by the same person who wrote the song.
- To be submitted for this contest, a song must have been written within the past year (i.e., completed since the end of NEWhere 2020), and must be either written or co-written by an NEWhere 2021 attendee. (Partial attendance counts.)
- Only one entry per person is permitted.
- The winning entry will be determined by popular vote. See below for details.
Rules for Voters:

- A list of all entries for the song contest will be posted on the nefilk Discord server and on the nefilk.us website by 6:00 PM Eastern time on Friday June 18, in the form of a Google Doc. The list will include links to the lyrics, the recordings where applicable, and the ballot form to be used in voting.
- All attendees, including partial attendees, of NEWhere 2021 are eligible to vote. This includes contestants, who may vote for their own entry if they so choose.
- The deadline for voting in the song contest is Sunday, June 20, 2021, 10:00 AM Eastern time.
